Every moment is a story, just waiting to be told.

Mary was raised in beautiful Northwest Arkansas, this is where she met her husband and home-birthed her three children. Then she and her family spent an amazing year exploring Belfast, Northern Ireland before relocating to Northern Minnesota in 2010 where they are learning how to adjust to a much colder environment!
Mary has been a student of the human condition her entire life and has written in one form or another since childhood. Her experiences of living in small towns, large cities, and living in another country provide her with a unique perspective on life and culture which is likewise portrayed in her articles. She has enjoyed writing since a young age and her work has been published in
VegFamily,
International Doula, the
Grand Rapids Herald-Review, the
Johnstown Breeze, and the
Hibbing Daily Tribune.
Her newspaper column, "Quietly Contrary", can be viewed in the
Western Itasca Review newspaper.
She also contributes weekly radio essays on KAXE's "Between You and Me".
